October 23rd, 2000, the cast of Ally McBeal spilled all about their sexy show! Read on

FOXcom_Host: Hey, everyone, Jane has arrived!

scoobysnack: Jane, are you here ??? I am dying to say hi to you !!!!!!!!!!!

Jane_Krakowski: Hello, I am here. I'm happy to be the first one to start off the Ally McBeal chat!

AllyAddict: Jane...What did you do in the off-season?

Jane_Krakowski: This summer, or hiatus as we call it, I decided not to work, but to travel. I traveled through Europe. It was wonderful.

aVen: Jane, you've got a great singing voice. Any future guest spots on the next Ally CD?

Jane_Krakowski: Actually, we are releasing an Ally McBeal Christmas album. The entire cast will be featured on it. I have two songs on it.

Jane_Krakowski: From the Chistmas shows.

justinheart: Jane- is that really you singing when you get on stage or is it edited?

Jane_Krakowski: No, it's completely all us!

TerTan_Singapore: Jane, can we expect more wacky inventions from Elanie this season? I love her inventions!

Jane_Krakowski: Elaine's inventions are my favorite part as well. I am happy we've had one this season. But I can't tell you what the invention this year is, you'll have to wait and see!

Vero: What invention would you bring with you on a desert island ? (Elaine's inventions)

Jane_Krakowski: Oh, most of her inventions aren't very useful or practical!

Jane_Krakowski: She invented that CD of husband sounds, maybe I'd bring that so it would feel like I had company on the island. And if there was a man on the island I'd bring the Cool Cup she invented, 'cause it helps promote and preserve sperm activity.

CalistaFan1: What is your favorite Elaine invention of all time?

Jane_Krakowski: I would have to say the Face bra, because it just stands out in my mind as one of the more clever inventions, and it's so odd-looking, you can't forget it once you've seen it.

TerTan_Singapore: Jane, what do you like about the character, Elaine?

Jane_Krakowski: I like her audaciousness -- that she doesn't edit before she says most of the things she says.

Jane_Krakowski: I love that she is very smart but uses her feminine ways.

brinie: jane, I rarely see you in lead roles, can we expect to see you in a movie with the lead soon?

Jane_Krakowski: Wow, I don't know! I tend to do the roles offered my way! I'd love it but I tend to play more offbeat characters, and in movies, those tend to be the supporting characters.

FOXcom_Host: Portia de Rossi should be joining us in a few minutes. You know -- Nelle!

ColeMac: Jane, you are beautiful and also nice to people, why are you not having a serious relationship in the show?

silkenc: Jane.......will you have a love interest soon??

KCinKC: Jane, will you have a love interest this season?

mini_ling: Does Elaine get a love interest this year?

Jane_Krakowski: LOL! Um, I can't reveal that much, but I think finally Elaine will get someone to date this season....

Barry: Hi Jane, my name is Barry and I'm from England, we are still seeing season 3 here at the moment. Will the show take a different shape now that Bill has died? (We just saw his death over here.)

Jane_Krakowski: Yes, I think the love story between Ally and Billy was the main structure of our show. Now that Billy is gone, the show has had to regroup.

Jane_Krakowski: The tone of Season 4 seems to be much more comedic. We're trying to base it on more reality and not be as quirky, and they've added some new characters. So far, Season 4 has been really fun to shoot.

ms_tress1: You were great in Dance with Me. Do you have any plans to do more feature films?

Jane_Krakowski: Thank you so much. I'm very proud of Dance with Me, not many people saw it, but it was a labor of love. I am proud to have it on film. I hope to make more features. We have very limited time off from Ally McBeal. And all the cast members, I think, try to do as much as possible during our off-time.

KCinKC: Hey Jane, will Elaine and John hook up this year?

Jane_Krakowski: LOL! You know, every girl wants to date John on our show. I've put in many a bid to be the lucky girl that dates John.

Jane_Krakowski: I think Elaine would be an alluring match for him, but I'm not sure anybody else sees it that way, so I don't think we'll be dating any time soon.

Jane_Krakowski: Everyone wants to be matched up with John!

Bradgm: Jane - what did you really think of Craig Kilborn

Jane_Krakowski: I loved appearing on Craig Kilborn. I wasn't supposed to be on the show that night, and they asked me to come fill in. I had nothing prepared, I ended up being on the entire hour and had a hilarious time.

Ally_Thomas: Jane, I am from Brazil and I just want to tell you that we love you and the show !!! You are great!!!

Jane_Krakowski: Thank you so much. I find it incredibly wonderful that our show is seen across the world. I spent a lot of time traveling this year, and it was wonderful to have people come up to me and say, "We love your show," or "Are you Elaine?" It's amazing to me that television can translate so far away.

Rocky_Raccoon: Jane, what's it like working with David E. Kelley? He seems very quite and reserved. Is he very funny in real life?

Jane_Krakowski: David is a very private, modest man. I think he's an incredible inventor and creator of characters. I know more about David thru his characters than I do thru actual time spent with him. Yes, he's also very good-looking! LOL!

Fabulousfab: Jane after 4 years of doing Ally McBeal, do you still enjoy it ?

Jane_Krakowski: I do! So much! The time has gone so fast, I can't believe we've been on air four years already! I think with a show like Ally McBeal, and with David Kelley, it's an ever-changing show.

Jane_Krakowski: It seems that every year it has a different feel, so that keeps us all interested in acting it.

umbrellagirl: Will there be a lot of music (singing/dancing) this year? That is one of my favorite parts of the show.

Jane_Krakowski: It's also one of my favorite parts of the show, and yes, David seems to write more and more in each show.

Blaker: Yeah, which episode are you most proud of of all the 4 seasons?

Jane_Krakowski: Such a hard question!

Jane_Krakowski: I have many favorites....

Jane_Krakowski: And for different reasons....

Jane_Krakowski: I would probably say the pilot was very special, because no one knew what it was going to be like, and it was scary because no one had seen something like it before.

Jane_Krakowski: I also really loved the episode when Billy died. I thought it was shocking that he died within the first half-hour. And the acting between Gil Bellows and Calista was amazing. And because an actor had left our show, it was very sad to watch.

Jane_Krakowski: For Elaine, I think the Christmas episode stands out just because it was fun to do the musical numbers.

Jane_Krakowski: And also the one with the baby, because it was a surprise that Elaine would get that storyline. And going back to Season 1, I would say Episode 2, when Elaine testifies against Ally. To me, that was the first time I understood who Elaine was.

FOXcom_Host: OK, we have to say good night to Jane now!

Jane_Krakowski: Good night, you guys!

DrewB: Jane, thanks for some awesome work.

Blaker: Goodnight Jane, best wishes.

Jane_Krakowski: Thank you very much!

FOXcom_Host: Thanks, Jane!

Cymru52: good nite Jane.

lizgoh: Good luck with the next season Jane

catalano: Jane, you're my favorite

Beth: BYE!!!! BYE !!! BYE!!!!

FOXcom_Host: Hey, welcome, Portia!!!!

Portia_de_Rossi: Hello, chatters!

Aviv_Israel: Hi Portia! my name is Aviv and I'm from Israel. how are you?

Portia_de_Rossi: I'm from Australia, Aviv, and I'm very well, thank you!

DrewB: Hello, Portia!

Hulagurl: Welcome Portia!

CaliforniaGirl: Hey Portia, you're awesome. How would you describe working with such a great cast?

Portia_de_Rossi: The ensemble is a wonderful group of individuals. And I think because we're all so unique, that as a group we make something very special.

Portia_de_Rossi: We respect each other and we all love working together.

kjana: worst Ally moment??

Portia_de_Rossi: For me, Portia, probably when I had to unzip my dress and let it fall to the floor, exposing my bra and panties to John Cage. For me, personally, I didn't enjoy that moment too much!

mmcneece: Do you enjoy playing the antagonist on the show?

Portia_de_Rossi: Well...I like to think that Nelle is the voice of reason more than an antagonist.

Portia_de_Rossi: She has very definite opinions, but I think she's not deliberately mean-spirited. Unlike Lucy Liu's character can occasionally be! I think Nelle has fun with the rest of the associates in the firm. I think it's sport to her. Her quips and nastiness.

Portia_de_Rossi: And I think that people know she has a good heart beneath her sharp tongue.

UK_Ally_Fan: Portia, A lot of men consider you the sexiest in the show (or maybe it's just me) What do think about that?

Portia_de_Rossi: Right on!!

Portia_de_Rossi: LOL. I'll take it! I love British men!

Portia_de_Rossi: I really do, actually :) I love their accents.

riverlady: Portia - will you and John have another go round this season?

aasgaard: Portia, what's in store for you now that the Cage relationship is over. Other intra-office affairs or something else?

Portia_de_Rossi: Well, Nelle does have an affair with somebody new in the fourth season.

Portia_de_Rossi: But...I'm not gonna tell you whether we already know this character or whether he is a new character. But she does move on. There is life after John Cage!

DrewB: Portia, I love your work on Ally, but I'm wondering...what were you doing before Ally McBeal?

Portia_de_Rossi: My career started with an Australian movie called Sirens, starring Hugh Grant and Elle Macpherson.

Portia_de_Rossi: That movie brought me over to the States and I did kind of a string of independent films, including Scream 2, before getting the role of Nelle on Ally.

JOYOUS: Portia, was working on Scream 2 fun? it sure looked it.

Portia_de_Rossi: It was the most fun you could ever have making a movie, because we were all young. There was a group of actors thrown together in Atlanta, Georgia and we were all in the same hotel. There was one common area with a jukebox, a pool table and plenty of beer on tap, and we all had a great time!

Giebs: Portia, was it hard to join the cast of an already-developed show? Did Calista and the gang welcome you with open arms?

Portia_de_Rossi: I was in such shock when I first started, I can't even answer you honestly!

Portia_de_Rossi: I was terrified! And all I did was I got to the set and performed my scene, and then I scurried back to my dressing room. I was a huge fan of the show before I joined, so it was very strange for me.

Portia_de_Rossi: I saw Ally McBeal, and I saw myself as a seperate entity. It took me a whole season for me to believe that I was part of Ally McBeal. It didn't seem real, despite the fact that Calista and the others couldn't have been more welcoming, generous and kind to me. Because I was the first new addition to the original cast, they were excited.

Portia_de_Rossi: They'd been through a season, the show was popular. They were excited to see where my character would take theirs and how it would change the show. So, I was very happy and lucky. But for me, it was very hard to believe!

missjane: But you have blended in nicely! And added another unique personality to the group!

Portia_de_Rossi: Thank you so much!

platinumwindow7: Portia. Will Nelle or you do anything drastic with your now famous blonde locks?

Portia_de_Rossi: Argh! Yes! They're quite famous now, aren't they, my locks?

Portia_de_Rossi: It's strange, I've had long, blond hair my whole life. Ever since I was little, my mother would be unsnarling the tangles while I begged her to cut if off! So she's thrilled that it's getting the attention after all these years. But my hair is almost like a limb. I don't feel complete without it. So I won't do anything with it. I'm dreading the day David Kelley uses it as a storyline! I have this fear he'll ask me to cut it for the show, and I don't know what I'd do, to be honest!

scoobysnack: Your locks rox !

Portia_de_Rossi: LOL!

Portia_de_Rossi: Right on!

FOXcom_Host: Greg Germann (that would be Fish, bygones) will be joining us in a few minutes.

justinheart: Portia- first off, fabulous hair- my question is, besides Ally, what is your favorite tv show?

Portia_de_Rossi: Have you any idea the amount of hours we work to make a TV show? I haven't seen a new show.

Portia_de_Rossi: Actually, I really like Will & Grace. I like the characters, they're really funny and interact really well. And Sex and the City is fun. I like to see what they're wearing!

hello: Will you and Ally have a kissing scene, too?

Portia_de_Rossi: LOL. Not to my knowledge!

Portia_de_Rossi: I think Ally's busy kissing Robert Downey Jr.

Cymru52: There's a rumour that you and Ling get together, any truth?

Portia_de_Rossi: No!

justletmein: Hello, my name is Tom and I just want to know do you relate with Nelle in any way

Portia_de_Rossi: I relate to her ambition and dedication to her career.

Portia_de_Rossi: Also, I think that Nelle has worked very, very hard to try and separate her sexuality from her job...in that she doesn't use her feminine wiles to get ahead. I would like to think that's my history of acting. It's hard to get respect as a young woman in Hollywood, and it's important to me to know that I get hired because of my work, rather than my looks or who I know or who I'm dating.

Julie: Portia -- Would you like to see Nelle soften up a little and not be so subzero?

Portia_de_Rossi: I think she's defrosted quite a bit since the second season.

Portia_de_Rossi: I don't think she could get much softer!

Portia_de_Rossi: I like Nelle when she's icy. She's more fun to play. She gets to say things I would never dare to say!

JonB: Portia, whats it like being the "bad girl" of the show

Portia_de_Rossi: Are there any good girls?

Portia_de_Rossi: It's funny. I don't really see Nelle as being the "bad" girl or the "nasty" character. She's cold, but Elaine is flirtatious and Ling is just downright nasty.

Portia_de_Rossi: I think her coldness resonates. It must, because people think she's very much her own entity and not a team player and that she's the antagonist. I kind of like that. I like her relationship to Ally and she keeps her in check. Especially in the fourth season, she tries to knock Ally back down to earth with a look or a quip.

MermaidFrog: Portia, I'm thinking about getting a tatoo. Do you regret getting yours? Any advice before I get one.

Portia_de_Rossi: No way! I love my tattoo! In fact, I'm going to get more work done to it. That's why I got it, actually, because my friend came about two years ago from Australia to visit in L.A. and I'd grown up with this girl. She was kind of patting me on the back saying, "Look how far you've come. You've done pretty much everything you wanted, is there anything left?" And I told her it was getting a tattoo.

Portia_de_Rossi: Within five minutes I was with "Happy" -- a 300-pound tattoo artist on Venice Boulevard. Ten minutes after that, I had a tattoo. Incidentally, three days AFTER I got the tattoo, I got the part on Ally McBeal. You never know what will happen!

sochko: What's your favorite beer

Portia_de_Rossi: Heineken! And in Australia, a beer called Victoria Bitter.

DrewB: You're really great, Portia. Thanks for chatting!

Portia_de_Rossi: Yeah, thanks for listening!

Portia_de_Rossi: Or logging on!

FOXcom_Host: Portia - thank you so much for chatting - You're terrific!

Portia_de_Rossi: Thank YOU!

JOYOUS: bye portia, never cut your hair!

Smithie: Bye bye

Emma464: Long live Nelle!!!

FOXcom_Host: Portia has to take off -- but, we have Greg Germann here now to chat!!

Greg_Germann: Here I am hot off the set...or just HOT!

Greg_Germann: It's great to be here.

allymcbealfan: How are you, Greg?

Greg_Germann: Great, having a great time on our fourth season.

CalistaFan1: Greg, what is your ALL-TIME FAVORITE Fishism?

Greg_Germann: I get asked that all the time, and I can never remember any of them! It's a horrible answer, but it's true.

TerTan_Singapore: Greg, how do you relate to the character, "Richard"?

Greg_Germann: I admire his confidence.

Greg_Germann: And his ability not to question himself...he's like a 10-year-old boy, he's all id.

shep: Any similarities between Richard Fish & yourself?

Greg_Germann: I guess I have a lot of opinions like he does, but he says everything he thinks, I tend to edit myself a little more....

Barry: Hello Greg, my name is Barry and I'm from England, I want to say how much I liked your perfomance in the episode where Billy died, I think you brought a real depth to Richard that we hadn't seen before. Was it hard for you to see Gil go, and what were his reasons for leaving?

Greg_Germann: Nobody liked Gil...no! Yes, we miss Gil a lot, it's like one of the original Beatles....

Greg_Germann: It was fun to do that with the character, to let the character have a moment like that...but it's also nice that David Kelley is relentlessly consistent with the character. So you don't see a lot of those moments, but when they come, they can be appreciated.

FOXcom_Host: Calista Flockhart will be joining us momentarily!

John: Greg, you are awesome. I saw you on an old rerun of Ned and Stacey, what else have you done in your acting career?

Greg_Germann: A lot of theater in New York.

Greg_Germann: And some different movies, Clear and Present Danger with Harrison Ford. And two movies out in Feb. One with Keanu Reeves, Sweet November, and one with Chris Rock called Down to Earth.

AllyTwin: Greg, can you tell us one real life fetish? LOL?!?!

Greg_Germann: Talking in Internet chat rooms!

DrewB: Greg, do you ever keep in touch with Debra Messing, post Ned & Stacey?

Greg_Germann: I see her occasionally, and I'm thrilled for her success, she's doing so well. Actually I saw her today on the cover of Esquire or something....

missjane: So Greg, how does it feel to have done "knee pit" with a Charlie's Angel?

Greg_Germann: She wasn't an Angel at that time, she was just my little Ling! Lucy is a lot of fun, we have a great time working together.

meretricula: Greg-is there a new love interest for Fish on the horizon?

Greg_Germann: I don't know. Do you know something I don't? Bring it on!

Beth: My name is Beth and I'm from Austrailia...how does your confidence-lacking character from Ned and Stacey change your approach to acting with a egotistical character like Fish on Ally?

Greg_Germann: I felt really lucky to play an insecure character like Eric....

Greg_Germann: And then right away get to do something at the other end of the spectrum like Richard. That rarely happens to an actor -- when you do one role, you get pigeonholed, and then it's hard to do something different. But I've been very lucky.

Ash23: Greg, what role do you think family plays in one's success in Hollywood?

Greg_Germann: Family is important because there is a lot of distraction, and being close to your family certainly keeps you grounded. They keep reminding you what's really important.

FOXcom_Host: I'll be anouncing the winner of the Ally Classic Scenes Sweepstakes in a moment!

dave: Hi Greg,You're the greatest . Do you and John Cage get along in real life?

Greg_Germann: Peter and I have known each other for years. We did a play together off Broadway in New York a long time ago.

Greg_Germann: We just thrive working together on the show, it's just a constant joy to come to work and get to play off Peter.

Luce: Do you have a lot of input into what your character does and says?

Greg_Germann: David Kelley, over the course of doing a show, watches everything we do, and eventually, by osmosis I should say, tends to write to your strengths, and to what he sees. So in that sense, I guess I have a lot to do with it. On the other hand, David is one of the rare writers in television...it's like working with a playwright....

Nicki00: Greg, do you think it was good for Ling and Richard to split up?

Greg_Germann: It was good for whoever she went out with after that! I don't know!

Greg_Germann: It's a no-lose situation because together or apart, they are both rich characters that are going to thrive no matter where you put them.

Vero: Who do you think would be the perfect match for Fish?

Greg_Germann: Ling is a pretty good match....I think Richard probably would figure, "If she can breathe, it's probably a good match," is probably what Richard would say. He seems to go for a broad spectrum of female.

mulderitsme: Greg, will Whipper be on this season?

Greg_Germann: I don't know, I hope so. I think Diane actually has a show she's doing, I'm not sure....I hope she comes back. Working with her is wonderful. She makes me a better actor.

John: Greg, do you think your character will have a homosexual relationship.. he sleeps with almost everything anyway!

Greg_Germann: Do you know something I don 't know?!?

TerTan_Singapore: Greg, are you disapointed with Ally not getting nominated for BEST Comedy Series in this year's Emmys?

Greg_Germann: Yes! I thought last year, we did really wonderful work, and I thought the shows were very funny. Obviously, I'm in the minority...but I like our position this year too. Because I think all of us, including David, feel that we're an underdog now and have something to prove.

Greg_Germann: And I feel like we're all trying harder, and very focused, and having a great time doing it.

starryqt: Greg, I love your character on Ally. Do you sometimes crack up laughing when you're supposed to be serious?

Greg_Germann: Yes, but never from what I'm doing, always from what any other member of the cast is doing. Our greatest obstacle to making our days a little shorter here is not cracking each other up between takes.

kjana: do you find it funny when people link people who act with the roles they play, I mean they think you have the same characteristics?

Greg_Germann: Yes, I guess that happens. I hope people don't assume that I'm as homophobic, greedy, opportunistic as Richard Fish. Although, I really am that bad of a dancer!

Blaker: Have you ever tried Viagra before?

Greg_Germann: LOL! I'm on it right now! This is the most exciting interview I've ever done!

Kacie: Greg is a cutie

AllyTwin: Greg, I love your tushy!

moran_israel: greg you're so nice : -))

Greg_Germann: I'll relay all of this to my family to remind them how special I am! No, thank you! You are so sweet!

AllyTwin: Greg....Here's a huge kiss from Utica New York! XOXOXOXOX

Greg_Germann: Utica -- what a great kisser!

magic: Keep up the good work, Greg

Nini: Luv ya Greg !

pg_breki: Greg!! How many hours do you work on a day?

Greg_Germann: It varies, sometimes up to 14 or 15, or it can be 5 or 6.

davidpetray: Greg.....are you hoping the Yankees or Mets win the Series??

Greg_Germann: I was at the first game in New York sitting right behind the Mets dugout.

Greg_Germann: Unfortunately, I'm a Yankees fan and I took some heat from some of the Mets players for cheering the Yankees on. But I lived in New York for years, and you can't go wrong -- they're both great teams. And this city right now has got to be one of the most exciting places to be.

Greg_Germann: Short of this chat room!

FOXcom_Host: Here's a moment you've been waiting for... The winner of the Ally Classic Scenes Sweepstakes is....

Greg_Germann: Stephanie Pennington, from Kansas City, Kansas. The winning scene is Billy and Ally's kiss!

FOXcom_Host: Congratulations to Stephanie!

AllyTwin: Greg, are you married? Please say no!

Greg_Germann: No -- that's a horrible lie -- I'm very happily married.

asdf: Boxers or briefs, greg

Greg_Germann: Is that an offer?

dave: Hi , Greg ,you're the best actor . This is going to be weird to ask but do you believe in INTELLIGENT LIFE on other planets?

Greg_Germann: LOL! Do you know something I don't know?

Beth: Your so cute and I must say a lot of people my age think you're sexy and I'm only 18 (well actually 17).

Greg_Germann: Thank you! But what am I -- 100 years old?!?

davidpetray: Greg....do you like the unisex bathroom idea??

Greg_Germann: It works at my house...and I do like it for the show. It's unique, certainly, and it gives us a lot of opportunities to interact with each other in a setting that we would never otherwise behave in that specific way.

JOYOUS: Are there real unisex bathrooms on the set?

Greg_Germann: Hold on, let me check...not that I know of. The cast is welcome to use my bathroom.

mini_ling: Greg, what're some of your offscreen hobbies?

Greg_Germann: I play the accordian and I write a lot and I love to swim -- I swim laps every day.

Greg_Germann: I don't know, that's a lot...!

FOXcom_Host: Unfortunately, Greg has to take off now! But, Calista will be here any second!

Greg_Germann: Thank you very much for Internet chatting with me, and I hope to do it again soon!

FOXcom_Host: Greg, thank you so much for joining us!

AllyTwin: Bye Greg LOVE YOU!!!!!! You ROCK

Nini: Thanx Greg

umbrellagirl: Love ya Greg

FOXcom_Host: Welcome to Calista Flockhart!!!

Calista_Flockhart: Hello!

Runner: Hello Calista greetings from Germany!

Calista_Flockhart: Hello!

mmcneece: Calista, you play Ally SO well. Are you as analytical and dependent on "the one" as she is?

Calista_Flockhart: First of all, thank you....

Calista_Flockhart: I'm more analytical than she is!

Calista_Flockhart: Probably.

Smithie: Calista, do you think Ally's short skirts and flashy outfits exploit her or do you think they show that she can be feminine and fun, but still be taken seriously at the same time?

Calista_Flockhart: I think that Ally's short skirts show freedom of expression. And I think that Ally has chosen to be feminine.

Calista_Flockhart: And she doesn't compromise her work ethic by doing so.

Calista_Flockhart: I also think it's a brave choice to be uninhibited when it comes to freedom of expression.

wado123o: Hey Calista! My name's Michelle. I'm a junior at Rutgers University... I don't have a question but I just wanted you to know that we're all extremely proud of you over here <> and that we love your show. You are an amazing actress. Stay awesome!!

Calista_Flockhart: Thank you so very much! Good luck and all the best!

simonfai: Hello, Calista. I am a fan from Hong Kong. Your performance in Ally is so cute. I have watched the appearance of Mark last night in episode 3. What do you think of his character? What do you choose if Billy and Mark are all alive?

Calista_Flockhart: First of all, greetings, wow, you're from Hong Kong!

Calista_Flockhart: I think it would be a really tough choice.

Calista_Flockhart: Billy and Ally had a very long history, but I actually believe it was more familial than as lovers.

Calista_Flockhart: So, I think Mark is adorable.

cricks: Hi, Calista! You've got a huge following here in the Philippines. Can you give us a peak into Ally's love life this season?

Calista_Flockhart: Ally finally meets somebody who rocks her world a bit!

Calista_Flockhart: For the first time, she's not about to blow it.

Ally_Thomas: Hey Calista!! I know I've been saying this a lot but it's true!! My name is Tereza and I'm from Brazil!! I love the show and my favorite character is Ally!! I think you're the best, you are an amazing actress!! Let me ask one question: Do you have something in common with Ally McBeal???

Calista_Flockhart: I probably have a lot of things in common with Ally McBeal, but I would say mostly her lack of censorship. And her imagination, maybe.

Calista_Flockhart: Also, thank you!

TerTan_Singapore: Calista, I'm from Singapore! Your show is a BIG hit here! Do you think John Cage should actually be with Ally since both of them are wacky?

Calista_Flockhart: LOL

Calista_Flockhart: There was a time when I thought Ally and John were soul mates, but as the years go on, I think they're destined to be best friends.

meretricula: Calista did you enjoy doing the Vagina Monologues?

Calista_Flockhart: Yes! Very much.

asdf: Do you get nervous performing in large crowds (i.e Vagina Monologues) or in front of a camera?

Calista_Flockhart: Hmmm. Very good question.

Calista_Flockhart: I'd say I get more nervous performing before a live audience. But I do get nervous performing on Ally.

LucyMcBeal: I watched Midsummer Night's Dream and you were great!! What will be your next works?

Calista_Flockhart: Thank you very much!

Calista_Flockhart: Things are a little uncertain because of the strike...so either a movie or a play during hiatus.

sertaneja: Calista, I saw you and Robert Downey Jr. some minutes ago on ET. You both looked great. I have no question. Just wanted to congratulate you. I'm speaking from Brazil !
