Anthology of Interest I #216   05-21-00

When the Professor invents a "What If" machine, the crew tests it by tempting fate and their own destinies. First, Bender wonders what his life would be like if he were a 500-foot robot. The results are disastrous as the new big, bad Bender finds himself isolated from his robot pals and befriends a lonely Fry. But after accidentally killing Hanson concert goers, Bender goes on a psychotic rampage, battling a giant Dr. Zoidberg and destroying most of New New York!

Next, Leela decides to shed her predictable image and wonders what would happen if she were more impulsive. She is shocked to discover her devious new self when the Professor names her his heir. Driven by greed, Leela impetuously shoves the Professor into a pit of man-eating anteaters. A murder mystery follows, with each of the Planet Express crew members suspicious of Leela. One by one, they confront her. One by one, she kills them all!

In the last scenario, Fry asks what his life would've been like had he never been sent to the 30th Century. If Fry hadn't been transported, there would've been a tear in the very fabric of time! So, Vice President Al Gore and his space-time continuum posse kidnap Fry and try to force him into the future. When Fry's friends from the future intervene, things go haywire and the universe as we know it implodes!

Voice Cast: Billy West as Fry and Professor Farnsworth; Katey Sagal as Leela; John DiMaggio as Bender; Lauren Tom as Amy; Phil LaMarr as Hermes.
