Bender and Fry take the spaceship for a joyride, not realizing that it is tethered to the Planet Express building. After touring Earth and destroying numerous landmarks, they return to find a shaken, angry Planet Express crew. The Professor has no choice but to fire them - and Leela for leaving the keys in the ship. While Leela is reduced to delivering pizzas, Bender and Fry get the night shift at the cryogenics lab.
      Fry thaws out his ex-girlfriend, Michelle, and they start dating again. She talks him into moving to the year 4000, which they discover is a hot, barren, smoggy landscape. Michelle soon gets fed up with Fry and runs off with Pauly Shore - who's been thawed out for the 1,000 year anniversary of "Jury Duty II." Turns out it's not really the year 4000, they were just transported to Los Angeles.
