While stopping to refuel the Planet Express ship, Fry decides to buy an egg salad sandwich from the truck stop vending machine. Defying warning, Fry eats the "fresh" snack and winds up with worms. But these aren't just any worms, they're smart worms, and they're changing Fry by the minute. Recognizing the worms as an unknown threat, the Professor decides that he and the Planet Express gang, sans Leela, must transport themselves into Fry's body and combat the migrating maggots.
      Back in the real world, Leela begins falling in love with the new and improved Fry. The worms have made him stronger, smarter and eager to profess his love for Leela. Leela decides that the worm-enhanced Fry is too good to lose, so she transports into Fry and stops the Professor from killing the worms. With his newfound intelligence, Fry realizes that Leela is only in love with him because of the worm improvements. So Fry decides to exhume the pesky parasites and test whether Leela will love him for him. And the answer is…no.
