The whole Planet Express crew wakes up to find all their stuff bent out of shape. Looking at surveillance tapes, the crew finds out that Bender has been "sleep-bending." The Professor tells Bender that he needs to let out his bent-up frustration or find another job. So Bender decides to take a leave of absence and work at a bending factory. Unfortunately, the benders at the factory are on strike and Bender has to become a scab worker…but he gets paid a lot more, so it's really a no-brainer. Of course, the robot mafia has something to say about scab workers, but Bender is oblivious.
      While working in the factory, Bender is confronted by an old bending nemesis, Flexo. However, another worker distracts Bender - a bending fembot named Angleyne. Bender falls in love with her but she happens to be Flexo's ex-wife. Bender starts taking Angleyne out on the town, spending his scab wages, which is making the mafia angry. The mobsters decide to kill Bender, but they accidentally confuse him with Flexo, and crush Flexo with an unbendable piece of metal. Bender musters up the strength to bend the metal and save him, but Angleyne realizes she loves her ex-husband and goes back to him. With all his bending needs out of his system, Bender returns to the Planet Express crew and bends everything back into shape.
