Nibbler finishes last in the New New York Pet Show and everyone thinks he's stupid. It turns out, however, that Nibbler is a defender of the universe and is a member of the first beings, ever! When the Earth comes under attack by Brain Spawn, Nibbler flees to his planet where he arranges a plan to defeat the Brains. The Brain Spawn drains the intelligence of all the inhabitants of Earth, and the only person it doesn't affect is Fry.
     Fry is left to save the Earth on his own and is forced to actually use his own brain to defeat the Spawn. He meets the Head Brain in the New New York Public Library where he has to square off in a battle of the minds. Fry ultimately wins by tricking the giant brain into thinking it actually won.
